2009?

Has anyone out there considered what the Lord is going to do in the year of 2009?
The number 9 represents in scripture Judgement. As I considered this, I believe the Lord dropped this scripture into my lap.

I woke up with the thought that I should read John 9. It's the story of Jesus healing the man blind from birth. For Jesus it was simply doing what His Father had asked Him to do, but what does the story mean to us? What does this story have to do with the year 2009?

The amazing thing about this story isn't so much the miracle, it's the reaction of the religious leaders. They asked the man, they asked his parents. The parents being very careful to answer correctly, knowing that if they even hinted that Jesus was the Messiah that they would be kicked out of the synagogue. Again they questioned the man who was healed.

How Jesus heard about the story isn't all that clear, yet He was fully God and fully man!
Jesus' response to the man in verse 39 I believe is an indication of what we are going to witness in 2009. "For judgement I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind" I believe 2009 will be a year where our spiritual eyes will be opened to the greater things of God. This 'openess' will challenge the religious spirit in our churches, it will seperate those who can see, verses those who say they can see! This is going to be an exciting year! Watchout religion, here comes Jesus!!!
